The board of trustees and team RJC Dance are thrilled to celebrate our Director Kathy Williams OLY receiving her MBE award for services to dance.
In 1984 Kathy made history when she became the first black female artistic gymnast to represent Great Britain at the summer Olympics Games in Los Angeles. In 1993, Kathy became the sole female, original member of RJC Dance and has been the Director for the last 12 years, leading the way for cultural and creative development for diverse children, young people, adults and elders.
“I have devoted my work to raising the profile of Black British dance and developing future diverse artists to nourish and enhance the cultural sector.”
Please join us as we celebrate Kathy on her achievement and continue to share the energy and passion she champions.
