We’re incredibly proud to share that RJC Dance Youth Provision member Kenya Bowry has successfully auditioned and secured a place with the prestigious National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) 2025-2026 cohort.
NYDC is the UK’s flagship youth dance organisation based at the world-renowned Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London.
Kenya successfully auditioned for the programme earlier this year alongside many other young people across the UK. As part of this exceptional programme, she will train and perform with some of the country’s most talented young dancers under the guidance of leading choreographers.
NYDC’s year culminates in a national tour, with performances in major venues across the UK. This is an extraordinary opportunity for Kenya to develop her creativity, technique and professional performance experience on a national stage, alongside her training at RJC Dance and Northern School of Contemporary Dance’s CAT programme.
Kenya says,
“I see NYDC as an exciting opportunity to build my artistry and explore how I like to move. Working with choreographers and being immersed in a company setting would allow me to develop my own voice while experiencing the professional dance world”
Well done Kenya, we are so proud and can’t wait to see you on tour!
