⭐️ Six Shahck Out Youth Dance members achieve their Silver Arts Award at RJC Dance in Leeds, developing creativity, leadership and dance skills. ⭐️

Silver Arts Award is a recognised national Level 2 accreditation awarded by Trinity College London and were delighted to celebrate the achievement of six of our young dancers in completing this qualification.

Over 4 months in the summer term, these dedicated youth provision members immersed themselves in the world of dance, creativity and leadership, alongside and during their regular sessions.

There are two strands to the Silver programme – one focusing on artistic practice and the other on arts leadership. Completing both successfully requires teamwork and independence, creativity and critical thinking, leadership and collaboration, confidence and communication.

As part of the process, they visited the theatre and reflected on their experience, interviewed an exhibition curator at the University of Leeds and created their very own ‘RJC Dance’ magazine.

A huge well done to them for their hard work, creativity and dedication! Their achievement demonstrates how dance and creative opportunities can help young people develop confidence, leadership skills and new ways of expressing themselves.
