A huge congratulations to our RJCD Leeds Playhouse Youth Theatre, who took to the stage at Leeds Playhouse earlier this month for their end of year performance.
Directed by Licie Wood, the group’s original piece, Merriment Ministry, took audiences on a joyful journey through celebrations from across the year and around the world. From Halloween to Vaisakhi, Light Night to Christmas, Carnival and Eid, the performance explored the importance of coming together, celebrating diversity and keeping the fictional “smiles per citizen index” high while ensuring the “merriment metrics” stayed firmly on target! 🎯
The cast delivered a fantastic performance full of creativity, energy and confidence, showcasing all the hard work they have put in throughout the year.
It was also wonderful to see the amazing talent from all of the other Leeds Playhouse Youth Theatre groups who performed throughout the evening. Congratulations to everyone involved for making it such a memorable celebration of young theatre.
