Youth Charter 2016 Games Legacy Impact Report

10th May 2017

The Youth Charter 2016 Games Legacy Impact Report is a four-year review of the social and human development legacy activity with young people and communities locally, nationally and internationally.
The 2016 report detailed equality, diversity, inclusion and participation (EDIP) analysis of Team GB squads at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The report findings were used to inform the current policy and investment strategies for sport from grassroots to elite level.
The 2016 report provides seven key recommendations for improved collaboration and coordination of the sport for development and peace movement.
Kathy Williams, Olympic gymnast (seen here with Mr Speaker, The Rt Hon John Bercow MP), in her capacity as Director of RJC Dance, a leading inclusive Black dance organisation in Leeds which empowers young people and adults through movement, was invited to the reception to mark the Youth Charter’s 24th anniversary and launch of the Youth Charter 2016 Games Legacy Impact Report in the State Rooms, House of Commons.
